After Hours Care
Our clients' needs are not always capable of being treated during normal business hours. If a situation arises that poses a threat to the safety of our client, such as active suicidal ideation, we request that the client calls 911 or reports to the nearest Emergency Room for the best possible care.
After normal business hours we are unable to answer voicemails left by clients until the next business day that our staff are in the office. Therefore, in addition to referring these after-hours callers to utilize 911 services or the emergency room, we provide our clients with the following information about 24/7 local and national crisis hotlines for mental health:

Description: The Greenville Mental Health Center is a facility that provides mental health services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families. Their services include a TEENline and CRISISline, adult acute services, rehabilitation services for psychiatry populations that have been discharged from the hospital, outpatient services, services for the deaf and hard of hearing, and senior services. There are also services for the Hispanic population. Major insurances are accepted, including Medicare and Medicaid. Staff are available to discuss payment plans for clients and their families. Description: Mental Health of America CRISISline is a 24-hour, 7-day a week confidential hotline offering a nonjudgmental sounding board for people to talk about life's struggles. Trained phone workers are available to offer a listening ear and to provide community resources and crisis intervention. CRISISline answers more than 11,000 calls annually from people struggling with the choices of life. Certified by the American Association of Suicidology, the line staffs workers trained in active listening, brainstorming and crisis intervention/suicide prevention.

4. Greenville "211" United Way Crisis Hotline

Description: Information and referral 24 hours a day for human services needs such as: counseling, food and shelter, suicide prevention, emergency shelter for children and battered women, and other services.
5. Julie Valentine Center (Greenville)

Description: Works to stop sexual violence and child abuse and the impact of these crimes through prevention, investigation, collaboration, treatment and advocacy. This facility provides child forensic interviews, crisis counseling, victim advocacy, family support, law enforcement partnership and educational programs. Provides 24-hour hotline, 24 hour crisis intervention, victim accompaniment through legal system, victim advocate training, support groups for all ages, and a library of related information.
6. Safe Harbor (Greenville)

Description: Provides free and confidential information and help to victims of domestic violence. Services include: 24-hour crisis counseling, emergency shelter, victim advocacy, legal assistance, case management, information and referral, support groups, and children's services. CODA also offers: outreach services, community education and volunteer opportunities.

Description: SAMHS's provides 24/7, 365- day-a-year crisis counseling and support to individuals experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters. This line is confidential with a crisis counselor trained to treat anxiety, stress and other depression-like symptoms.
